| 8th Grade Madison 41 Cheshire 18 The eighth grade Junior Football Squad came up short against a very strong Madison team despite some good offensive performances. Jack Cunningham scored the first Cheshire touchdown on a well executed screen pass from quarterback Tucker Ecke. Colin Thorne hustled downfield on the ensuing kickoff to recover a fumble, setting up the second touchdown, a pass from Ecke to Andrew Yamin. Yamin would score again later in the game, set up by an Ecke to Christian Russo completion. The eighth graders will try to rebound on Sunday at 11:00 am when they host Amity. |
| 8th Grade Cheshire 28 Amity 0 The Cheshire Junior Football 8th grade team beat Amity last Sunday 28 to 0. Cheshire TD’s were scored by Andrew Yamin, Jack Cunningham, Josh McNiven and Kyle Losty. Tony Marcucilli set up two of the TD’s with a couple of nice runs and Matt Blois set up Cheshire‘s final TD with a nice fumble recovery. Cheshire will be back in action this Sunday at 11:00am at Cheshire HS against Branford. |
