Cheshire had total control of the game and never looked back, holding their
opponents to one shot resulting in the only save for Freshman keeper Darien
Dunham.
The Rams showed strength in depth with a very young team, for periods of the
game with 5 freshmen on the field at the same time.
Cheshire could not find the net until late when Sophomore Kelsey Carlette had
a solo run with a great finish low and hard into the bottom corner of the net.

Goal: Cheshire 75th min. Kelsey Carlette unassisted.

Cheshire gave up a goal in the first min. from a corner kick that no one
covered and the ball ended up in the back of the net.
The Rams fought back hard with Senior captains Molly Dupont,Cailyyn
Harding and Kira Yasuda leading the way. Cross were determined to try and
be physical with the much smaller Cheshire team, but the Girls kept to their
game plan of quick passing and fast movement off the ball.
Dupont struck just before halftime to even the score at 1-1, with a great thru
pass from Sophomore Nicole Stauffer.
The Rams regrouped at the half and came out playing hard, and controlling
the ball with their signature passing game, which was difficult playing at
Rice Field,..
Nicole Stauffer put the Rams up 2-1 in the 43rd min. with an assist from
Molly Dupont,in the 46th min Senior Capt. Cailyyn Harding put the game out
of reach with a well placed headed goal and the assist was from Nikki
Iadarola.

Cheshire 1 Mercy 1
Cailynn Harding scored on a penalty kick early in the second half to give the Rams
a 1-1 tie with Mercy at Cheshire Tuesday.  Darien Dunham had 4 saves including
a tester in the second half on a high cross from right side.  Rams are now 2-0-1.
Cheshire 4 Sheehan 1
Sophomore Kelsey Carlette scores a hat trick to seal win for Cheshire,
Nikki Iadarola scored a goal and had 2 assists.
Sheehan had no answer for the quickness of Carlette who caused havoc in the Sheehan defence.Her
first goal came 3 min into the game with a well worked goal from a number of quick passes, Iadarola
split the defence with an accurate pass and Carlette finished it off.
The Rams dominated the game from start to finish, with 24 shots against Sheehans 4 shots.
Freshmen Goalkeeper Darien Dunham had 3 saves in the victory.

Cheshire opened the scoring in the 11th min. when Sophomore Nicole Stauffer cut into the right hand side
of the penalty area and unleashed a shot that hit the back of the net on the far side of the goal.
This was the only score of the first half,in a battle of midfield supremecy Amity were the more physical team
and not afraid to get stuck in and fight for the ball.
Cailynn Harding was strong once again in midfield winning most of her battles while being double teamed.
The Rams gave up a goal in the 46th min with a sloppy pass in the box that was snapped up by Amity to
even the score.
Cheshire began to settle down and play their game and finish some chances when in front of goal, Kelsey
Carlette put the the Rams back in front with a well taken shot slotted into the corner,she was later taken
down in the penalty area on a breakaway run that resulted in a penalty shot, taken and converted by senior
captain Cailynn Harding.
Another senior captain Molly Dupont wrapped up the scoring in the74th min with a pass from Nikki Iadarola.
Cheshire are now 5 - 0 -1 and 3-0 in the Housatonic division.

Heading into the game with Shelton the Rams were 5-1-1 coming off a tough loss to Hand
Madison,Shelton were 7-0-0 with their last victory 4-1 over Guilford.
The game was back and forth all night long with the better of the chances falling to the Rams.but alas they
did not cash in on their chances.
The shots on goal were even for the night at 4 a piece Shelton hit the crossbar late in the game and
Freshman keeper Darien Dunham pulled off a great save very late into the game.
On the night a tie was probably a fair result.

Cheshire suffered their first loss of the season on a goal in the last 6 mins of the game.
The Rams fought hard but the physical play of Madison was hard to overcome, Cheshire managed 8 shots
but could not penetrate the goal Nikki Iadarola hit the bar from a great shot.
Madisons Meghan Derken was a handfull all night long with her speed up front,she broke through in the
74th min. to slot the ball past freshman goalkeeper Darien Dunham , who had made a couple of great
saves in the game.

In a rematch of an earlier battle between Mercy and Cheshire, the result was the same.  Cheshire and
Mercy tied 1-1.  Cailynn Harding score the lone Cheshire goal, assisted by Molly Dupont and Nicole
Stauffer.  Darien Dunham had two saves in goal for the Rams (6-1-3, 3-0-1).  Cheshire will visit Sheehan
on Thursday under the lights at 7:00.  The Rams beat the Titans 4-1 back on September 24.

Greg Lederer Kelsie Carlette and Jenna Hart had a goal and assist each to help Cheshire girls' soccer
(8-1-3; 5-0-1 in Housatonic Division) win 3-1 at Sheehan. It was Hart's first goal of the season. Stauffer
broke a 1-1 tie with the game-winner in the second half. Nikki Iadarola added an assist. Freshman
goalkeeper Darien Dunham made three saves, including an acrobatic swat with one hand.

Greg Lederer Kelsie Carlette and Nikki Iadarola scored twice each on Monday, as Cheshire girls'
soccer fired a 5-0 shutout at Lyman Hall. Elena Manke supplied two assists, while Nicole Stauffer (goal)
and Molly Dupont tallied one each. Darien Dunham made two saves. Cheshire has compiled 17 shots
in each of the last two games, yielding only seven combined.

Molly Dupont scored on a feed from Nikki Iadarola with under 3 minutes left in the game to lead the
Rams(9-1-4).  Darien Dunham posted the shutout.

Senior Captain Kira Yasuda scored with a headed goal from a corner kick taken by Nikki Iadarola in the
29th min of the game.
Freshman Missy Bailey scored her first Varsity goal in the 60th min to give the Rams a 2-0 victory.
The girls seem to dominate every game they play with their quick accurate passing game.
Lead in the middle of the field by Senior Captain Cailynn Harding who runs the game with solid defence
and is quick to start an attack at any time.
Cheshire outshot Lyman Hall 24 to 2 in a lop sided battle.
Freshman Darien Dunham gets the shutout in goal.
Jenna Hart Scores Twice to Lead Rams over Guilford in SCC Quarters
After a fairly even first half featuring physical play and few opportunities, Cheshire exploded for three
goals in a little over 5 minutes, wearing down the Indians 3-0 to advance to the SCC Semi-Finals at
Shelton Thursday night.  Jenna Hart launched two beautifully placed shots into the top of the net and
Kelsie Carlette added a goal to lead the 3rd seeded Rams.  Cailynn Harding and Nicole Stauffer, as
well as Carlette added assists for Cheshire (11-1-4)
